HELP TO PROTECT NORTHUMBERLAND’S TREES

We were so moved by the Sycamore Gap tree felling that now 5% of profits from each sale of our Northumberland tree-inspired wallpapers will now be donated to the National Trust to support Northumberland National Park and the local community.

Did you know that as well as designing, renovating and decorating homes around Newcastle, Edinburgh and the North East, we have also designed and launched our own original collection of luxury wallpapers called EVOLVED inspired by our beloved Northumberland’s iconic forests and countryside?

In response to the tragic Sycamore Gap tree felling, which has deeply affected us all at the studio, we’ve have brought forward plans to use the profits from our woodland inspired wallpapers to help protect the very trees that inspired our artwork.

We’re happy to announce that 5% of profits from each sale of our wallpaper will now be donated to the National Trust to support Northumberland National Park and the local community.

Myself and most of the team at Studio Dean were born in Northumberland. The area’s natural beauty has always strongly influenced our interior design and we’ve had a deep love and connection with the Northumberland forests all our lives. We’ve always felt we can do more to protect to our environment, and the Sycamore Gap felling has made us realise that we should all do what we can right now - why wait?

The wallpapers were designed using leaves, feathers, bark and other beautiful patterns found in the forests near Studio Dean’s HQ at Dissington Hall, a Northumberland stately home. Our super arty and talented team interior designers used their artistic skill and experience to turn them into timeless papers that they now use regularly in their high-end interior design projects.

Several of the papers, AthaliaSylvaAsteria and Xylo are based on local leaves and trees and are becoming increasingly popular after during the recent ‘forestcore’ trend.

We love and are inspired by trees and nature and want to replicate their beauty in people’s homes, while protecting the original source, so all our wallpapers are printed to order on FSC certified paper using water based ink to eliminate waste and pollution.

The Hali and Kairi fabric effect wallpapers are based on chunky weave natural fabric such as jute, and are so realistic you have to touch them to believe they are paper! They come in a range of nature-inspired colours that add warmth and texture to walls with a subtle, timeless elegance.
